I'm so-so-so lucky that I can travel to so many place during my evs. Helsinki, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, Paris and the last one was London. Recently I discovered the nice things about travelling alone. Of course it's nice to share the experience with someone and have good company but if you go alone you're more independent and you can really do whatever you want to.
So I was brave, bought my train ticket and got on the road to the UK capital...
Well, since it was already a while ago I keep it short:
I discovered Camden Town, one of the coolest places of London by accident. I was just following the canal near Regent's Parc when I found a yard and the wonderful market full of multicultural stuff. Indian clothes, thai and indonesian food, vintage stuff... All the colours, sounds, smells, impressions - it was a parade for the senses, really.
I met a man who made jewellery of jade stones from New-Zealand. We talked for a while - he had so special aura, so much special, positive energies around him - it just attracted everyone. I went back two days later and we went for a walk in Regent's Parc and in the evening near the Thames. He gave me a lot of inspiration and some deep, phylosophical feelings.
I couchsurfed of course - firstly I was hosted by an energetic Chilenian (chilese...??) - ok, a guy from Chile. He was really friendly and he's an amazingly creative person - he designs and prepares carneval masks and costumes. I slept in his hammock - although after a while I just switched for the colourful couch. He cooked very nice dinner, we drank a bottle of wine, I got a bit drunk and we talked really passionately about the female emancipation.
My second host was a literally cool guy called Kwame. I spent some time with his Argentinian friends - it was so great. He hosted a very nice Argentinian girl who was looking for a job in London. We went out to a pub and to a place where we could dance salsa.
I went to the free hugs meeting on Picadilly Circus. It was awesome again but people were a bit sceptic - but I guess it's natural in a huge capital. Aaand which is quite amazing I met two Hungarian girls. OK, that's not that amazing but one of them was from my city, Székesfehérvar! Aaand we happened to go to the same secondary school!!! Yeah, we know, the world is really small.
