On the 21st of February I went to Finland for the Cultural Youth Work contact building seminar. I spent some extra days in Helsinki and Kuopio, couchsurfed for the first time in my life, tried sauna, made snowbears and much more…

What can I say, what can I say about that wonderful almost two weeks? Well, I surfed the couch of some very nice people: Anna, Jonna, Elise and Lukas, I went for sightseeing with an also nice French girl, met some great Austrian people in Suomenlina, experienced the real Finish winter in Kuopio. Oh, the seminar was in such a wonderful place – in the middle of a forest near a frozen lake. We had sauna every night, went out naked into the snow and even went into the lake! (Lately I was told that local people normally don’t really do it just some crazy fanatics.) We listend to intersting lectures, visited a music academy, played funny games (puking kangarooooo! Blöööe), made nice new friends from all over Europe – and even from the US.

I also listened to some heavy metal music which is not as bad as I thought firstly.
